Leading a multi-partner team

Dakota State University has partnered with two other academic institutions to provide training opportunities that will meet the needs of the workforce. Each school will offer selected content in the formats preferred by the schools to meet the needs of the faculty and students.

You can complete one of the certificate programs in an online format. Dakota State University and its partner schools will work to prepare workers who understand health IT and are prepared to lead and assist providers in using electronic health records and health information exchanges.

 

DSUDakota State University

In order to prepare a workforce capable of supporting South Dakota's health care providers make the transition to electronic health records (EHRs) and participation in health information exchange, Dakota State University is offering health information technology (HIT) workforce development programs. DSU offers four health information technology workforce development training programs, including:

The programs are targeted to individuals looking to gain HIT skills and knowledge to enhance performance in current roles or prepare them to move into new HIT/EHR roles. The training programs are being offered as non-credit workforce training and are being delivered 100% online through distance education. DSU is pleased to offer this non-credit workforce development training to support South Dakota's health care providers transitioning to EHRs and HIEs. Successful learners are awarded a certificate of completion.
